What this is
freecertificategenerator.com is a free certificate generator. You pick one of 66 designs, type in the recipient's name and the details, and download a print-ready PDF or PNG. There is no account to create, no email address to hand over, and no watermark on the file.
Who runs it
It is built and run by CertSeal, which makes credentialing software for organisations that issue certificates at scale — bulk generation from a spreadsheet, verification URLs and QR codes, automatic email delivery, and an API.
That is the arrangement, and it is worth being direct about it: this site exists partly because some people who use the free tool will eventually outgrow it. If you are making one certificate for one person, you will never need to pay anything, and nothing here is designed to push you toward doing so. If you are making four hundred, a browser form is the wrong tool and we would rather tell you that than watch you fill it in four hundred times.
Where the templates come from
The designs are CertSeal's template library, the same one its paying customers use. They are professionally designed rather than assembled from clip art, and every one of them is available free here.
What happens to what you type
No account is created and the details you enter are not retained after the session. The certificate is rendered on a server so the output matches the preview exactly, but nothing about it is stored against you.
The trade-off is that your work is not saved either. Close the tab and the design is gone, so download before you leave.
Why there are download limits
Each certificate is rendered at print resolution, which costs real compute. The fair-use caps — 10 downloads an hour and 40 a day — exist so the tool stays free and responsive rather than degrading into a queue.
