Is it free for schools?
Yes, with no watermark and no account. There's a fair-use cap of 10 downloads an hour and 40 a day, which covers a class but not a whole year group in one sitting.
Can I make one certificate per child for a whole class?
Yes, one at a time — the form clears between certificates so you can work through a register. Above roughly 40 a day you'll hit the fair-use limit, and a bulk import becomes the sensible route.
Will it work on a school laptop or iPad?
It runs in any modern browser with nothing to install. The editor wants a screen of at least 900px wide, so a tablet in landscape is fine but a phone is cramped.
Can I add the school crest?
Not in the free tool — logo upload is part of a CertSeal account. Everything else on the design is editable.
What paper should I use?
Plain paper is fine for everyday awards. For end-of-year certificates, 160 gsm makes an obvious difference for very little money.
